Privacy Policy
Effective August 31, 2026
The short version
Praiselight is local-first: your library lives on your own machine (or in your own browser, for the demo). We only store what's needed to run your church's account and the sync you turn on, and we don't sell any of it.
What we collect
- Account: your email, name (if given), and your church's name — handled through Stytch, our sign-in provider.
- Synced content: songs, service plans, and CCLI usage events — only when cloud sync is on, stored scoped to your church.
- Licensing: which machines have activated a license and which remote devices you've approved.
- Billing: handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
What we don't collect
- Demo data — it stays in your browser and never reaches us.
- Anything from your local library that you haven't chosen to sync.
- Advertising identifiers, and we don't sell or share data for ads.
Who processes data for us
Stytch (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Railway (hosting), Neon (database), and Cloudflare (networking). Each receives only what it needs for its job.
Retention and deletion
Synced data is kept while your church account exists. Email [email protected] to export or delete your church's data — deletion removes synced content, account records, and license state.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll say so on this site or by email.
